The Digital Shipwright Wiki

This is the official Wiki for the Digital Shipwright. This Wiki has been designed as a repository for warship technical information. While this information pertains largely to the United States Navy, other nation's vessels and technology may appear throughout for reference and comparison.

While I by no means wish to belittle the pre-steam navies and technologies, this project will focus on the ships designed and constructed from the 1880's through to the 1980's. This era represented the largest advances in Naval Technology that are at the core of all navies throughout the world today.

This is a constantly evolving project and contributors are always welcome, but all data entered here must be verifiable. Since this is a technical document, opinions, political or personal, have no relevance except in the historical context in which these subjects affected ship design.

This is a closed Wiki, so if you would like to contribute, please email me at digitalshipwright@verizon.net.
